VPNBi FAQ
Organized into four categories: accounts, connections, routes and billing. When an issue occurs, identify the symptom first, then check each answer in order. Avoid changing multiple settings at once, or the cause may be difficult to determine.
Account & Subscription
Accounts & subscriptions
This section covers registration, subscription retrieval, client syncing and device changes. Most subscription issues can be narrowed down by checking the account status, updating the current configuration and removing outdated configurations.
What do I need to register for VPNBi?
No email address is required; you can register with a username and password. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but not reused for other important services, and store your password securely. After registration, open the user panel to choose a plan. If you switch devices later, sign in with the same account—there is no need to create a separate account for each device.
Where can I find my subscription after purchase?
After choosing a plan, sign in to the user panel and open the client download or account overview section to get the client and subscription for your platform. Do not share subscription details publicly or paste them into tools from unknown sources. If the page still shows the old status, refresh the user panel first, then confirm that the plan is active.
How do I update my subscription link?
Open subscription management in the client, select your current VPNBi subscription, and update it. Different clients may label this action as refresh, sync, or retrieve again. Before updating, confirm that your network can access the user panel normally. If the update fails, copy the current subscription again from the user panel and replace the older content saved in the client.
Do I need to buy another plan when I switch devices?
No. VPNBi supports unlimited devices, so the same account and active subscription can be used on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. When switching devices, get the client for that platform and the current subscription from the user panel. For easier troubleshooting, delete old configurations saved on devices that are no longer in use.
Why can’t I see new routes after updating my subscription?
First confirm that you updated the subscription currently in use, rather than an old configuration left in the client. Then fully close and reopen the client before checking the route list. If the list is unchanged, delete the old subscription and import it again from the user panel. When submitting a ticket, include the platform, the message shown in the client and the steps you have already taken.
Connection & Troubleshooting
Connections & troubleshooting
Connection issues should first be divided into “unable to establish a connection” and “connected, but specific content is unavailable.” These symptoms require different checks, and a comparison test is usually more effective than repeatedly reinstalling the client.
How should I troubleshoot when the client cannot connect at all?
First confirm that your plan is active and that you have remaining data, then update the subscription and switch to another route. Check that the system clock is accurate and that the client has the system permissions needed to establish a network connection. If it still cannot connect, restart the client and your current network environment, then submit a ticket with the exact error text, platform and route name.
What should I do if it says connected but websites will not open?
This usually requires separating route connectivity from domain resolution. Switch routes and reopen the page, then check whether the client has enabled the correct system proxy or virtual network mode. You can also temporarily close other software that changes network settings and try again. If only a specific website is affected, test other websites as well to narrow down the cause.
Why isn’t a particular app using the proxy?
Check whether the client is using global rules or split-routing rules. If one app cannot access content on its own, its traffic may not be handled by the current rules, or it may use a connection method unlike ordinary web pages. Switch to a mode with broader coverage for comparison, and make sure no other network tools are running at the same time.
Why does the connection often drop when iOS or Android goes into the background?
Check whether the system restricts the client from running in the background, and confirm that battery-saving policies have not paused its network activity. Reopen the client and see whether the connection returns, then try switching routes. If it happens only when the screen is locked, the network changes or the app remains in the background for a long time, describe the trigger in your ticket so system scheduling can be distinguished from a route issue.
Speed & Routes
Speed & routes
Speed depends on the local network, the target service, route distance and the current usage scenario. More routes provide more choices, but the suitability of a route should still be judged by actual results on the same network.
What should I check first when the connection is slow?
Use the current network to access familiar websites directly and determine whether the underlying connection is already slow. Then update the subscription in the client, compare a geographically closer route, and pause bandwidth-heavy syncing, downloads or video tasks. Keep the usage scenario consistent during testing; results from different network environments should not be compared directly.
How should I handle slowdowns during peak evening hours?
When performance fluctuates during peak evening hours, switch to another route in the same region first, then compare routes in nearby regions. For video, lower the quality temporarily to check whether bandwidth is continuously insufficient. For web browsing, see whether only certain sites have slowed down. If the issue keeps recurring, provide the time period, route name and specific usage scenario.
What criteria should I use to choose a route?
For everyday browsing, prioritize routes that are nearby and stable. For services with regional requirements, choose the relevant country or region. VPNBi covers 120+ countries / 240+ routes, providing more options; a farther route is not necessarily faster. Base your choice on actual performance on your current network.
What should I do if video buffers or quality drops?
First confirm that the underlying network is not handling heavy transfers at the same time, then switch to another route in the region where the content is available. Clear failed playback tasks in the app and reopen the content so an old connection is not reused. If only one content service is affected, submit the service name, selected region and specific symptoms in a ticket.
Billing & Refunds
Billing & refunds
Monthly subscriptions and data plans use different data accounting methods. Before choosing, assess whether your typical usage is consistent, then review the plan period, upgrade rules, payment methods and refund terms.
What monthly subscription tiers are available?
Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Choose based on your typical video, file transfer and web browsing usage rather than judging only by one-off speed tests. Coverage and device policies for each tier are listed on the plans page.
Do data plans expire?
Data plans remain available until used and never expire. Options include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They work differently from monthly subscriptions, which reset on the activation date, and suit users who prefer to consume a fixed total amount of data. Before purchasing, confirm on the plans page whether you need a monthly subscription or a data plan.
How is a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade calculated?
For a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade, the price difference is prorated across the remaining days. Before upgrading, review your current plan status and available options in the user panel, then continue after confirming. Because an upgrade changes your current subscription arrangement, first consider your remaining data and upcoming needs instead of creating a duplicate order.
Which payment methods are supported, and how do I request a refund?
Alipay / WeChat / USDT are supported, along with a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund policy. To request a refund, sign in to the user panel and submit a ticket with the relevant order and request details. Avoid submitting the same request more than once. Refund eligibility and handling are governed by the Terms of Use; keeping the order page information can help verify the payment record.
Support Ticket
Submit a ticket when the issue remains unresolved
When submitting a ticket, include the platform, the message shown in the client, the route name, the situation in which the issue occurred and the troubleshooting steps you have already tried. The more complete the information, the easier it is to determine whether the cause is the account status, client settings, local network or target service.
